25 weeks – baby moon!

Hi guys.

You will of course know that we have reached our 25th week of pregnancy Monday gone. Apologies for the lateness in my posting. I am writing you now from the historic town of Teguise in Lanzarote. It is such a beautiful island and as directed, we are doing nothing but chilling out. Coming away out of season is perfect. Surrounded by pensioners and young families in beautifully serene backdrops is exactly what the doctor ordered.

Baby is also enjoying himself as we are in bed by 10 most days and end each fun-filled explorative day with a fable read by daddy. He definitely responds to Js voice now. So sweet.

I woke up this morning to Baby doing what felt like star jumps. Was hilarious. Having to guess what part of his body is doing what.

Bump is looking quite big now. I literally gathered all my summer clothes and tried each one on. Any that could still fit pass bump made it in the suitcase, to Jerry’s dismay. Yet again, I managed to pack 18.2kg even though we had a 15kg luggage allowance each. He looked ready to burst a blood vessel at the airport. It was very funny. Of course they let us off but now he is threatening to throw some of my clothes away on the way back. Will keep u posted re how that goes.

This island is truly beautiful as the pictures below will attest but it is so jarring how Spanish (and the English tourists) love to stare. Only in the resort towns weirdly enough. The rest are lovely. Usually I don’t care or even notice things like that but it is just ridiculous. Other than that, we are having a great Baby-moon. Hope to explore the island more widely over the weekend when we rent a car.

Specific mention though must go out to our local restaurant Villa Toledo. It is amazing. Right on the coast just off the promenade. Amazing views, great food (see below) and great service. Love it!!!
